Power of Water (POW)
Power of Water (POW)
The Power of Water is a classroom-based program for the KN – 6th grade students throughout Delaware. The Power of Water is presented through 10 social and emotional lessons centered around the theme of water. It is our mission to promote students’ positive coping mechanisms and adaptation skills in a changing world.
Breathing and mindfulness exercises from the Pure Edge curriculum have been incorporated into the lessons. “Brain Science” research has found that breathing and mindfulness exercises help reset a person’s focus by bringing fresh oxygen to the brain. These exercises are integrated in each lesson to mindfully prepare students for learning.
