Information for Parents

If your child is in a 5th grade class in one of our partner schools, he or she will be learning about respect through several interactive Seasons of Respect workshops and classroom activities throughout the school year.  The curriculum addresses the meaning of respect, respectful behavior, and reasons for behaving respectfully to others.  You can read more about the workshop topics here

We suggest that you periodically discuss the workshops your child has participated in and ask what he or she has learned about respect and respectful behavior.  This will help your child to remember and use what he or she has learned.  As your child should be able to tell you, what children learn in the Seasons of Respect program should extend beyond behavior in the classroom, to interactions with other peers and adults, family, and the community.
