In Memory of Darryl Simms

We are sorry to announce that Darryl Simms, our Board Chair, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2009. He will be remembered as a mentor and friend to many, including the Board and Staff of Connecting Generations.

Darryl was a retired educator, formerly serving as an administrator and school psychologist in the Christina School District. He was the Director of the Office of Ministry for Black Catholics for the Diocese of Wilmington, and a presenter for the non-profit organization Pathways to Success, Inc. and Connecting Generations' Seasons of Respect program.  He was a lifelong mentor to thousands of adults and school children.  He served on the Delaware Mentoring Council and Wilmington Mentoring Commission.
