Creative Mentoring Training
Creative Mentoring places a strong emphasis on mentor training. We have developed training workshops based on our award-winning training manuals, Elements of Effective Mentoring and Mentoring in the Middle, for mentors entering the elementary and middle schools, respectively. Workshops cover the Creative Mentoring process, appropriate and inappropriate roles for in-school mentors, and listening and communication skills essential to successful mentoring relationships.
All mentors involved in Creative Mentoring in-school programs are required to take our training. Training is available to volunteers throughout Delaware at no charge, regardless of program affiliation, if the volunteer will be working in a public school. Our training services are also offered to those outside Delaware on a fee basis.

Applications take approximately one month to process, from the time of receipt. Please register for a training session at the same time you apply so that we can place you with a child as quickly as possible.
We look forward to seeing you at your training session. Should the session have to be canceled for any reason, we will notify you as soon as possible.
