Connecting Generations Celebration
Breakfast- FREE
109 guests joined us Tuesday, May 18th for our first Celebration Breakfast. It has been 20 years since our founding, so we have plenty to celebrate! Our guests had a chance to learn about the programs, successes, vision for the future of Connecting Generations and hear about the impact that our programs have had on the children and adults in the state. First Lady Carla Markell shared her passion for mentoring and talked about the relationship with her mentee Toby whom she has worked with for over 8 years.
A new Make a Difference Society was introduced and we are pleased to announce the founding members:
Hope Creator: Jim Patton Jr.
Star Reacher: Anita Amurao and Sally Gore
Goal Setter: Stacey Altemus, Shane Breakie, Ralph Fortney, Rich Kapolka, and Chris Kenny
Swing into Spring 2010

This evening cocktail party was held at the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts in Wilmington, where we honored longtime educator and mentor Maurice Pritchett. A Big Prize Raffle was drawn and entertainment will be provided by Sean "Sinatra" Reilly. Click here for photos and more details.

Wilmington Mentoring Kick-off Breakfasts
The Wilmington Mentoring Commission and Office of Mayor Baker are trying to recruit 500 new mentors in the City of Wilmington, including 50 city employees. They held kick-off breakfasts in August for business and faith leaders to get their employees and congregations involved and Creative Mentoring began training the new mentors in time to start mentoring in the fall.
